Windows 10 issues: 2) Productivity apps

For email customisation such as sub-folders, not natively available under Windows 10, use Thunderbird instead. It works well.

Chrome can crash without warning and not wake up when restarted. The solution is to uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Or use Firefox instead.

The Edge browser permits pop-ups by default. Use Internet Options > Privacy > Settings > Turn On Pop-Up Blocker to change this behaviour. Also click "Disable Toolbars and extensions when InPrivate browsing starts." And use Firefox instead.

The Settings pop-up asks if you want to use the new Photos, Movies, TV, and Edge browser. Say "no", or all default applications will be Microsoft's. Better to choose to use specific apps going forward.
