Jim and Josie Tipler form the acoustic duo Milton Hide, having met up at art college. Their journey though life and music has seen them as buskers, singer-songwriters, arrangers and graphic artists. Their "Little Fish" EP, full of original songs, is a truly a family affair, recorded and co-produced by son Chuck Tipler.
The single "Home Is Where Your Heart Is", an uplifting song dedicated to friends, starts off the set. Paradoxically, "Better Off Dead" has the most energy of six delightful tracks, three of which reflect on life and death and two receiving influence from the Brexit debate. The title track expresses parental wishes for the strength and determination of children.
This is one of those mini-albums which goes straight onto my playlists in its entirety, with its thought-provoking lyrics and catchy tunes.
