Assessment of New Music

When musicians and agents send in tracks for inclusion in programmes, the musical content and lyrics are auditioned to determine whether they should be played, discarded or shelved. Tracks to be played are categorised broadly to Folk & Country for the Folk At Five show, or Rock, Pop & Dance for Teatime With Trevox. (There is also a Niche category for occasional tracks that don't otherwise fit but are eminently playable. Profanity, Punk and Rap genres are not considered suitable for these shows.)
