Call me 'suspicious', but
You need tested, reliable spares for critical equipment at events, right?
So I'm looking for a power supply, and these four come up on an online search. Was I right to be suspicious? Reading Ken Shirriff's blog convinced me that I was.
It is too easy for the unscrupulous to copy appearance, packaging and safety markings, so the source of a product in the supply chain has become of major importance.
Cheap outlets can so easily be outlets of danger.
Counterfeit goods are big business for crooks. Trading Standards and border security folk have an ever-expanding workload. It behoves all of us to be watchful and, yes, suspicious.
